 Expression Resource Booking is under continuous development, and more features
are being added on a regular basis. If you want a feature that is not already
included in the current release, please contact us, or leave a message in our
support forums and let us know.
Some of the current features available in the current release of Expression

General Features
- Internet based - No client software needed
- Expression Resource Booking can be accessed from any computer in the world with
internet access and an internet browser.

Booking Features
- Easy to use graphical user interface
- Quickly and easily see the availability and status of resources
- Repeat bookings can be made
- Print view enabling a hard copy of data to be kept
- Confirmation emails sent after each booking
- Staff can edit their own bookings
- Search bookings which contain a certain string of characters, or name
- View resources by day, week or month
- View groups of resources (such as Computer Rooms, Laptops and Classrooms etc.)
Staff Directory
- List all users details in a staff directory
- Users can edit their own details
- Users can search for other members of staff by name, department, telephone
number, office or email address.
Fault Reporting
- Users can report faults in resources, such as computers which are not
operating properly
- Administrators reply directly to the reporting user through a support ticket system
- Reporting users can see admin replies and reply again if necessary.
Style Features
- Users can change the size of text on their user account to aid usability
- Administrators can restyle every page to their specification
- Image management facility enables full logo customisation
- Either use one of our pre-made styles, or create your own
Timetable Features
- Allow bookings on certain days
- Weekends can be enabled for bookings
- Set the amount of booking periods in a day
- Rename booking periods (e.g. a period called "lunch" can be created)
- Highlight periods making them stand out
- Allow users to only be able to book certain resources
Admin Features
- Set system administrators who have access to the admin control panel
- Set room moderators who have access to administrate only the rooms/resources
allocated to them
- Set comments to appear on certain days, or a group of days (e.g. the Comment
"This is a sports day" could be added to the date June 27th)
- Administrators can manage bookings made by other users and edit or cancel them
- Repeat booking facility is available
- Carbon copies of confirmation emails can be sent to a specified address
- Administrators can add, edit or delete resources

Administrators can add, edit or delete groups and allocate resources to them
- Administrators can lock a resource which makes it unavailable for booking
- Administrators can add holiday dates during which resources cannot be booked
- A booking limit can be set so that nobody can book a resource past this date
- Image management facility to upload and assign images to resources and to the
booking system layout
- User management allows users to be created, edited or deleted
- Users can be added form a CSV file allowing easy transfer of usernames and
passwords
- Noticeboard allows administrators to post messages to users
- Statistics allow administrators to see which resources have been booked, and
when.
- Full configuration suite
- Shut down the booking system enables administrators to close the booking system
